or Saturday, March 6, 2021; 10 am - 2 pm
David Heim is a previous editor of "Fine Woodworking". SketchUp is a powerful, immensely popular drawing program that more and more woodworkers use. But like any new piece of software, SketchUp contains some traps for newcomers. In this course, you will learn how to avoid those traps and begin using SketchUp with confidence. You will draw a model of a side table with tapered legs. You'll also learn how to draw dovetails quickly and easiy, plus how to generate measured drawings and a cutlist. You will see how working in SketchUp lets you preview the actual construction in the shop and solve problems without wasting expensive wood. You'll also learn the six Rules for SketchUp Success.
