Or Saturday, October 4; 10 AM - 2 PM

David Heim is a previous editor of "Fine Woodworking". SketchUp is a powerful, immensely popular drawing program that more and more woodworkers use. But like any new piece of software, SketchUp contains some traps for newcomers. In this course, you will learn how to avoid those traps and begin using SketchUp with confidence. You will draw a model of a side table with tapered legs. You'll also learn how to draw dovetails quickly and easiy, plus how to generate measured drawings and a cutlist. You will see how working in SketchUp lets you preview the actual construction in the shop and solve problems without wasting expensive wood. You'll also learn the six Rules for SketchUp Success.
Tuition: $95
- required that each student bring a lap top computer (Mac or Windows) with SketchUp Make 2017 (the correct free version) already installed. Get it at sketchup.com/download/all.

5 of 5 Great Teacher! Sketch up Guru November 3, 2019
Reviewer: David Neilson from Stratford
David has taught me more in this one class than i have learned in years poking around with the program on my own.  Anyone interested in learning this program to use for woodworking this is hands down the place to start.  You will walk away with more than just the basics!
